OBDII for people wi faults
Since theres a lot of posts on running faults, I immediately think "what about an obd diagnostic, check for fault codes" - however there's never any mention of this. Is the alfa range not OBDII compliant after 96?
Other cars are, and it makes fault finding a lot easier. I sell an OBDII handheld computer that scans the car for faults and explains fault codes found in plain english, can show (& log) live engine sensor data as you drive, also reset any error lights (airbag, engine management, abs etc) and it seems odd that unlike the vw forums where everyone does a DTC (diagnostic trouble code) check first off, that no one here even mentions obd or fault codes...?
(The scanner is the size of a mobile phone btw and indispensable on OBDII cars).
Mods, would I be allowed to advertise this item in the classifieds or a posting? If it is compatible with alfa then it would make a lot of peoples problems easier to find and the scanner costs the same as an hours labour at the stealers (£55) so its very good value.
If not then I wont mention it again lol (dont want to upset anyone)
