Possible petrol leak?
For a week or so now there has been a noticeable, but not very strong, smell of petrol around my 156 V6 CF2. Also the engine takes several turns of the starter motor before it fires if the car has been left standing for a while whereas it has always fired instantly before.
I assume* that there is a slight leak in a fuel pipe which lets air into the pipe when the engine is off which then requires repriming to start the engine.
There is no smell of petrol in the engine bay and no sign of any petrol drips under the car.
I have not had a good look underneath as yet but I wondered if anyone else had had a similar problem which might give me a pointer of what to look for.
