Re: Wheel Alignment and Balancing
I changed my tires a few months ago (Goodyear Eagle F1's) and noticed strange wear-off too, though the wheels themselfs were perfectly balanced.
According to a guy I know (car engineer that used to work for Alfa) he said it might be a suspension alignment problem, which he said is pritty common on Alfas.
He knew a guy who could fix it (here in .be), so we payed him a visit. He had some sort of laser-guided tracking system especially designed to align suspension. He first checked the wheel balancing - which was perfectly ok, but the suspension itself was a a bit off. He fixed this for 35eur and the car is much more stable now, especially while cornering. Also the wear on my tires is drasticly lower.
