The GT is a class act. I driven a fair few average and very good cars. The GT (and mine is a tractor) is one of the best I've ever driven.
It's not perfect because although I think the handling is superb it is a little hard and the suspension woes are incredible. Mine has just passed the MOT but the knocking and creaking is unbelievable as such I was convinced it would fail. I think it's maybe just the ARB's at the front but the back?
Anyway that is the only thing wrong with the car. I agree with the dodgy rubber. I also recently had a Ferrari F355 (now sold
) and that too had the nasty goo. That was an £80k car brand new (not far off that when I sold it) and can you imagine how folk must have felt when the interior melted. My pal received some interior trim for his straight from Maranello sealed in a bag.. and gooey!
The 916 another case in point, same old goo and now my GT is going the same way. I believe a few late 90's Porsches had a similar issue.
Otherwise that grey leather interior is very inviting and mine smells rather good (leather cleaner I use). Those seats though, they are bloody superb, they're are the most comfortable seats I've ever had the pleasure of parking my backside in.
The GT is a great car and I love the interior, someone did mention the three clocks on other Alfa's (our 916 as an example) and I agree Alfa missed that on the 147/GT dash but otherwise I love it.
