Clutch wearing out?

I own a 147 (2001) which has run for slightly above 100 000 km.

There has been problems with the selespeed like suddenly going to neutral or unable to select gears.

It was fixed at the dealer for the second time today and i was told that the problem could be due to the clutch worn out.

Has anyone experienced similar problems? How long does a clutch usually last for?

Re: Clutch wearing out?

its not the clutch, its just the usual selespeed problem. if the clutch is worn the selespeed will still select gears perfectly, your only problem will be a loss of drive (slipping clutch). when you have difficulty selecting gears its usually a selespeed software or actuator problem. read the other threads about selespeed problems and you'll see its a very common problem.
