147 Foglight Issue

I noticed a few weeks ago that my n/s front foglight wasn't working, so (stupidly) I went and bought a replacement bulb without first checking the current one. The original bulb appeared to be still OK, but I replaced with my new (better) bulb anyway. Thing is, when I was changing the bulb, I noticed that the fitment on the wire that connects to the base of the bulb looked like it had "burnt out" (it was all brown/discoloured) which also seemed to effect the original bulb as the base of this looked "burnt out" as well.

When I fitted the new bulb it worked anyway, that was until last night when I found out it had stopped again...
Please forgive my electrical ineptitude, but is this likely a case of replacing the wire+fitment that connects to the bulb or is it something more comprehensive that's caused it to "burn out".. ?
Not sure what to do...

Re: 147 Foglight Issue

I had exactly the same problem, The fog light looked blown so I purchased a new one, to find that the wire had chaffed on the lamp holder, and burn't out.

I had Alfa replace the entire headlamp FOC, inside my 3 Year Warrenty.

Humm.. Alfa......Australia... Melbourne ?...Rathdown / Lygon St ?
