147 jtdm still revving when changing gear.
I hope you can help me with a problem i have got with my alfa.
The throttle has started to stick when i change gear. It revs freely and no problem when in neutral but when the car is moving it starts to play up. It stared doing it about 2 weeks ago but then stopped only to come back more frequently 2 days ago.
I managed to find a nice quiet road to take it down and when it stuck i pushed to clutch down and braked the brake pedal went down in stages and felt rough under my foot. The revs went down after a few seconds.
The second time it did it the brake pedal did the same but this time the ABS and VDC warning came up on the dash. This seemed to cure the revving issue while the lights were on. I turned the engine off and these lights went out and the car drove ok for a day or two, but now it is back to revving high when changing gear making it worrying to drive.
Engine runs fine and pulls like a train. No smoke from exhaust. Clutch a little stiff but works fine.
I cleaned out the throttle body and butterfly valve as these were very dirty but problem is still there.
Any help would be really appreciated.
