I just ordered some oil for my 147 2.0L Tspark 2001.
Tutela Jarama 5Ltr (Semi Synth) here-
Fiat Parts and Alfa Romeo Parts from Shop4Parts
Now I had to get this anyway as I need the same stuff for top-up even though the oil change was done end of Feb.
Had the car from Oct last year so is my first Oil change.
Now whilst at Alfa Beechdale in Derby, their Selenia wallchart speccs my car as having Selenia Racing which apart from being more expensive, is surprisingly 10w/60!
I was deffered to the fiat garage a short walk away as they used to have the Alfa Franchise there not so long ago.
Taking my empty bottle there, the chap recognised it and said that is the stuff they used to use.
As I said, I'm using the same for top up obviously, (due to driving hard and fast and long distance recently there isn't any oil on the dipstick)
Now unfortuneatly I don't know a lot about oil, so will read up on it.
But should I get 10w/60 for my next oil change?
And is Selenia racing fully synthetic?
Oh it appears so, here is a useful chart-
maybe it depends on driving style I guess?
I do short sharp trips mainly 15mins to work and I tend to punish the car (sorry babe) on my way there.
A few motorway trips here and there too and I drive as fast as safely possible.
Just a quicky, which is thinner, 10w/40 or 10w/60?
Thanks for reading!
