Alfa 147 withdrawal blues

Last night i dropped my baby off for a few bits and pieces to include:
gear rods cleaning (thats what i call it - can't remember what they said...i just pointed to my stiff gears and said....fix )
airbag reset
new ferodo ds performance pads on the front

Driving home last night in the wife's vectra, i couldn't help notice how underpowered and unispiring the drive was

I ended the evening looking longingly out the window at the spot on the drive she should have been.

Anyways, will feed back what was done on the gears, the airbag issue and how the new pads feel.

The only other car I would have besides my alfa would be another alfa.

Cry Like A Baby Re: Alfa 147 withdrawal blues

I'm going to have it worse... My Alfa (affectionately known as "Alf") is being sold on Friday; I'm having to leave the Alfa fraternity for a while as practicality has come in the way. But I vow to be back.

So long. It was great.

Re: Alfa 147 withdrawal blues

Right, some feedback...
1. Gear linkage cleaned, shafts relubed and put back in - This feels better, but still not convinced it is what i expect the gears to feel like (my opinion). Think i may have the synchro looked at next

2. Airbag light was Driver side airbag and curtain wall...think with loading my baby in and out the back, must have caused the error. Error cleared and (touch wood) no repeat of error.

3. Ferodo DS Performance pads feel good...still need some bedding in
