147 JTD power steering leak... Repair existing flex pipes?

Hi, my 55 147 JTD has sprung a leak in the power steering. It's getting below min in around a week.

I had a good look at it this afternoon, and it's one of the little rubber and metal push fit pipes by the coil in the front right which I assume to be a cooler that's gone. Not sure where without pulling it off, but I gather from old threads that it's likely to be pinholes on the metal section.

I've heard of repair attempts involving pipe over the top or steelstick type stuff, can anyone expand on this? I'm really hoping I don't need to lash out the 150ish on the pipe set, but from the exploded diagrams I've seen that wouldn't cover this part anyway?

I have photos if they'd help...
