Don't think its an import or the v5 wouldn't say declared new at registration would it? I'll get a photo of the back in a sec when the rain stops.
Did you manage to get those fitting instructions by any chance? as I'm still without a front left indicator
ok Haigo, so mine arrived today, if you can get your hand to the back (this is the issue) and feel the cables that go into the back of the ROUND :-) indicator you should be able to grasp the bulb holder its round and about 4cm in diameter so its quite substantial.
When you look at it from the front of the car you will turn the back side of the indicator (bulb holder)about 15 degrees(think clock wise) and this bulb holder will then pull out of the indicator housing. and from there is simples( take out bulb, put in new one). main issue is I'm not sure if you can get your mits on it ? not possible from the front as the indicator is screwed to the bumper from behind.
But to be honest taking the bumper off is not as dramatic as you think. there is two bolts behind the wheel arch liner that bolt the bumper to the wing on each side(they bolt upwards). You then take the bolts out under the front lip that hold the undertray on(bolts go through the bumper and undertray), about 4/6bolts, and i think four more bolts that when you open the bonnet you will see them bolt in the top section of the bumper to the slam panel.
sound a pain but it not complex. i would jack the front up, take the wheels off, undo as may screws as you need to to move the wheel arch liner out of the way at the front of the wheel arch, or off completely, then undo the bolts as described above.
from jacking up to finish should be about an hour / hour and an half if your organised, again this is only needed if you cant get your hands to the back of it. you may be able to undo the undertray bolts and pull the bottom of the bumper forward enough to get your hands behind it ??.
if you have to get the bumper off i would be tempted to replace both bulbs while your at it with new ones, suggest long life bulbs (i think osram do one) because you don't wanna do it again i a hurry !!!!!
my new bumper believe it or not did not come with any bulbs, tight buggers and i am going to fit the bulbs designed for clear lenses they look silver from the front but flash orange so i think they look better ( think they are called diaderm bulbs ).
hope this helps, the instructions that came with it to fit this bumper are worse than useless and are of no help at all, 10 badly drawn pictures no words......
