After 6 months away I have relented to the temptation and handed in my company car and taken the car allowance and the wonders of Alfa motoring to power me to work. I was driving a drab and soulless Ingsignia.
My Alfa history is as follows;
156 - 1.9 jtdm - died from cam belt failure. Fixed and sold. Still running in the local area.
75 - 2.0 twinny - sold as I couldn't run two cars (this and 156)
Long gap then
3.0 GTV - sold after owning for 2 years and adoring. Sold for savings for a house.
Didn't by the house. Instead bought the GT 1.9 jtdm Cloverleaf. Picture attached.
So far loving it after doing the following;
Front suspension - no longer rattles and bangs
Near tyres and wheel alignment
Just need a tidier gear knob (cannot find one that fits after destroying a richbrook replacement) and to get windows set a few mm higher.
Drives well for 100k and I'm very happy with it. The chap selling it didn't know it was the top line Cloverleaf so got it for a lot less than I should have paid.
Looking forward to seeing some of you at various meets etc.
