I've read many of the threads on here about CC but wasn't able to find a solution or suggestion for my problem. In the last couple of days my CC has been acting up, and blows its 10A fuse (I've replaced 4 in the last 2 days, blown all 4).
During the same time, my ABS/ASR/Handbrake lights came on, my mechanic told me it was probably a faulty ABS pump. After going on the forum, I suggested swapping the yellow 60A fuse in the battery fuse box, which we did, and the lights went away (hopefully for good).
I thinK it all had to do with my battery dying out of juice being wasted by my boot lamp staying on, which we fixed.
My mechanic told me that the CC is connected to the ABS system so that's why it probably blew its fuses all the time. But, since yesterday, when we fixed the ABS fuse, the CC still blew a fuse twice.
I tried swapping the radio headunit with an aftermarket one, in case it was the one shorting out the fuse, as it's connected on the same fuse for some reason, but still no good.
Has anyone had a similar problem before? Anyone who can suggest a solution?
P.S. The CC works fine for some time after replacing the fuse and then it blows it. I haven't been able to connect any specific behaviour (i.e. turning up the speed, turning the CC off etc) with the fuse-blowing.
Thanks for reading my rant
