re the wishbones, well you should get 50-75k depending on driving style out of them really if you do both at the same time and polybush the uppers from that point only lower replacements will be required.
I would say avoid 60k as within the year you will be looking at cambelt and water pump, and potentially wishbones, and clutch..egr get rid, swirl flaps get rid, unless you can get the dealer to do it all before purchase with OEM or equivalent.
they are unlikely to do flaps and egr but haggle to make sure you have funds to do this, its vital on these cars now they are getting on in years and mileage.
I personally would buy a higher mileage rust free example for less money and use the rest of the budget on the previously mentioned swirl flaps and EGR delete...get a Q2 equipped one of you can, add some eibach ARB's a re-map and an up-rated clutch and you will be flying.
mine now has 93k on it and after having all of the above mentioned done is a fantastic car...better than the 159 way better than the guilietta. I have been test driving everything from audi's to mercs,BMW's and two alfa G's( one derv one petrol) for the wife's new car, I can say with complete honesty there is not a single car I have driven I would trade it in for.
none have the same balance of attributes and gorgeous lines..and I swear as the miles go on its just getting better!
do it , but with eyes wide open, have a really good look at the oil cooler pipes and underside in general as well, get the right one and it is a fantastic purchase, the wrong one and it can get VERY expensive very quickly.
best of luck!
