147 1.9 JTDM dry flapping noise and juddering 2.5-3.5 revs (new videos added!)
I have a nasty problem with my 147 Ducati Corse ( 1.9 JTDM )
I've had the problem for a while now, over a month or so, but it has recently gotten worse and worse. When accelerating, between 2.5-3.5 revs usually, no matter what gear, I get a nasty dry flapping raspy type noise coming from the engine. The problem is intermittent and is far worse when the engine is up to temperature rather than first thing when it's cold. It can be heard when on the driveway and not being driven, but it's much harder to create the noise this way, it's much more likely to happen when under load, being driven. Not only does it make a nasty sound, it makes the car judder slightly, if I put my foot right down it will usually go away.
I understand it's very hard to tell what it can be just from reading this, my immediate thoughts were the turbo? or something to do with one of the belts/ and or tensioners? or even the water pump. I'm stabbing in the dark a bit though and don't really have a clue, but my immediate thought was definitely the turbo. However it doesn't seem to have lost and power.
