Second anti roll bar replacement 156
( My 156 2.0 sportwagon had the front anti roll bar replaced at 72,000. It is now at 94,000 and I have been told it needs replacing again by my local Alfa specialist (not dealer), as there is significant play. (Symptom is distinct knocking noise from front nearside supension.)
I am told that the bushes cannot be replaced as they are integral to the bar. Facing a bill of £200.
Does anyone have any experience of failure rate and / or options to replace with better quality parts?
I am surprised this has only lasted 22,000 when the original went to 72,000.
