Thumbs Up A positive "Alfa Dealer" story

My 156 2.0 TS had an airbag problem and I tried to solve it by soldering the wires under both front seats but had no luck. The light stayed on.

I phoned Mcarthy Germiston (in Joburg, South Africa) and they told me to bring the car in anytime. These guys have serviced all of our Alfas over the years and I have to say that they are one of the more reasonably priced dealers in Joburg.

I brought it in today and they hooked it up to the examiner. The error was actually caused by the driver's curtain airbag and not under the seat. The connections are in the boot.

Derrick, the workshop foreman pulled off the covers and pulled back the carpets etc and checked and re-attached the connectors and the airbag error was cleared.

The best part of this story is that the charge for this job was absolutely nothing.

It's not often you hear of a dealer going the extra mile but I think they deserve a big thumbs up.

Great to hear some good news from our dealers. I have never had any problems with George Fiat/Alfa
Hope all future services will be as good
