156 Lock Set

I have a 156 2002 model car.. Someone had messed up with the both the door locks of my car,, it opens with remote all well.. but not with the key..

what could be the best option to get it repaired?

Also, How can I get my 156 black key button repaired?

Re: 156 Lock Set

hi m8, for a start you cannot get your key repaird , i had the same prob with the black button failing and unfortunately you have to buy a whole new key, then have to pay extra at the main dealers to have it activated with the correct codes for your car, it cost me £150 just for the key and coding, but it looks like you have to also buy 2 new barrel locks with a new key ? sorry m8.. good luck.....

Re: 156 Lock Set

whoa, slow down there,

pm forum member chris, or search ebay for alfa key repair, he does a key fob fixing service for £20, i'd investigate this first!

i have just spent a horrid £300 for 2 keys and labour etc. not good.

and your locks, you mean vandal damage?
you need to get quotes for new barrels by the sound of it, not cheap,
we need more details so more astute members can help advise you

Re: 156 Lock Set

Yes... It is the vandal damage..
I mean that I can not open my doors by using the original keys..
But I could open it with remote...

Is there a possibility to but only two new barrels with key...
and get it coded for my old remote..!!!

Dealer says that it is not possible.. I have to do the whole set..!!

Re: 156 Lock Set

Not sure on the damaged locks but I bought a complete s/h key off the bay 'cos my case was falling apart.

10 minutes, two screws and a swap of the circuit board, the sensor (small round glass tube) and the keyblade, and the jobs a good un'!

I cant remember EVER getting in to any of my Alfa's other than by the remote!
