Suspension parts MOT failure
I just got myself a nice wee Alfa GT that was due an MOT.
It failed on 3 items. Upper left balljoint boot excessively worn and both osr/nsr trailing arm bushes worn.
Im not a total stranger to a spanner and after being quoted £365 to replace the parts i figured id have a crack at it myself.
Ive ordered a new upper wishbone however the trailing arm has got me a bit confused.
Ive had a look under the car and see there is 2 bars that run the length of the rear axel(Transverse arm?) and then there is another bar that runs from the rear to the front(Pan hard arm?).
the issue i have is that the term trailing arm seems to bring up any one of these parts depending on where you look. I have assumed it is the Pan Hard arms I'm looking to replace and have ordered them.
I should have really clarified with the MOT tester but wasn't thinking.
Can anyone give some clarity on which arm would be the "trailing arm"
PS if theres anyone in central Scotland who fancies helping me fit them there is deffo beer in it for you :-)
