Alfa 156 2l ts now wont start, AHHHH!
So I had kangarooing between 2 and 3k rpm but it drove. Went to start after work and wouldn't start. Went back and pulled the coil packs. Several spark plug wells had oil in them. Blew out the oil, removed and cleaned all spark plugs then fired her up as was gonna drive it home and do the rocker gasket once I got one. Started after 10 secs or so and sounded sweet. Turned her off after 30 secs to put my tools back in my wife's car and then it won't start. Ahhhhh. Pulled coil packs again and obviously only tiny amount s of residual oil were left after cleaning but not enough to stop it starting the first time. Could the engine have flooded? There is fuel as I pulled the hose off the injection rail and its pressuring. I am seriously at a loss here. Have previously done cambelt with cam locks and dti gauge, aux belt, crank sensor, afm (Bosch), no fault codes (multiscan, ecu reset done) just now won't start. It's driving me insane. This is the fifth breakdown in a couple of months. Please Alfa specialists help a guy in need. I am a competent Diy mechanic and this is the first car that seems to be getting the better of me :-(
