Re: Lost car keys
i bought a key off ebay for £10, then i went to timpsons and paid £6 for an uncoded copy of my orignal key (for a tenner you get 2 copies), then i used a 4.5mm drill bit to remove the original metal key part from the ebay key, then i ground down the timpsons key, then i glued the timpsons key into the ebay key. thats all it takes, then you have a key ready to program for £16.
i have taken pics each step of the way on my GF's mobile and will upload them in the near future when i make a key guide.
now all i need to do is to get my new key programmed to work the immob and central locking/alarm, my best quote so far is £65, but i'm not willing to pay that much so i'm negotiating with an independant fiat specialist. anyone with an examiner can do it.
does anyone know which independants have an examiner in NE england? so far I only know of FAST but i assume there will be at least 1 alfa indie with an examiner as well?
