I've discussed this with my Indie, mine is over 141K miles on it's original DMF so I'm assuming it's going to need replacing soon.
His opinion is that if you go down the road of a conversion kit (clutch and solid flywheel) and then keep the car long enough to need the clutch replacing again you could have problems fitting a replacement clutch to the solid flywheel, may have to buy another kit. Just his opinion mind.
I suppose if an original is still going strong at 141K then are they that bad....really?
