Re: fault code help
Many thanks jug.
I bought myself the Gendan EngineCheck Pro ELM327. It gave me 3 codes above. I cleared it and it immediately came back with P1687.
I put the ignition in pre-start position for 90sec, then switched off for 90sec, then run the engine for about 10-15min.
I connected the ELM again and I was able to clear the P1687 code.
Any ideas what this might be or any further tests I might cary out to pinpoint the issue? My EMC light has been causing me grief for over a year now hence why I've invested in my own diag tool saving me time and money. Expecially as I can immediately test the car without booking in with a garage before which more faults have been recorded and it's no longer clear which order they occured.
In my case, it would appear that the P1687 occurs first and causes the other faults to be registered.
