Grrr, Upper wishbone bushes failed MOT
Yes, another upper wishbone bush thread, someone is making a fortune out of us.
I've managed about 18k miles out of my Birth uppers (not bad I suppose), regularly greased, last time only a fortnight ago. Have to admit I did notice the insides of the bushes were almost completely smooth, the little 'X' dimples had worn away. However they seemed fine to me, although a little easy to move by hand which I put down to new grease.
Well, failed the MOT this morning, so have got 10 working days to sort it. I've considered powerflex or similar poly bushes however at around £70 for a set it would be an expensive mistake if they don't fit Birth arms.
Plus opinion is divided on the value of poly bushes on the uppers so (hurl rotten fruit at me if you like) I've gone for replacement standard bushes from Redline
at £32 delivered for all 4.
Will let the forum know what the fit is like.
All the best
Loose - not close, compact, or tight in structure or arrangement
Lose - to part with or come to be without, as through theft, accident, negligence, etc.
