good specialist should be able to do it for £300 or so, I agree 36k is short...thank the stars you didn't by a Maserati 3200, its 12.5 on those!
the reason I went with the GT diesel over the 2.0 JTS and the 1.8 twinnie was amongst other things was very short cambelt intervals on the petrols. the derv is 72k between changes, I did in fact have a jts GT prior to the derv and it was lots of fun, the diesel kills it for power though!
autolusso have a penrith branch and although they are a way for you if you need a few bits done it may well be worth it.
seriously don't hang about getting that cambelt sorted ,there are way to many horror stories when the intervals are extended.
drop links are pennies and a fairly easy job.
