Re: Tyre Makes
I am considering B F Goodridge profiler G's on the front of my 2.5 156, I have fitted these to several cars in the past and have seen an improvement in handling and reasonable road noise / wear etc.
I must add though, that no one on this forum has commented on them, and I've got nearly twice the BHP of my last car....
BFG's are well priced, and my local tyre fitters, who are independant BTW, do excellent deals.
In fact I had reciepts for the last set of Dunlops fitted to it , in London, where ever that is, and he said he'd do the same set of tyres for £100 less, but I'm not very impressed overly with the stability of these.
I have great things to say about goodyears, which I ran on my 318, but they did wear unevenly on the rears, mainly due to the caning it took I suppose, but very grippy, again the 318 was onlt just over 110bhp.
I have also read threads on here where people recomend putting the best tyres on the back, I much prefer my security on the front as it steers, brakes and unfortunatly powers my car, its a cinch to catch the rear of a car, not so the front when it goes, or am I wrong?
