soggy pedal after pad change
I changed the front pads on the daughters 147 last weekend, and now the pedal is soggy.
I initially thought "Lets bleed them and flush fresh fluid through anyway"
But still the same.
There is a bit of a lip on the disk, so i thought maybe it would bed in, but after a week, it's still the same.
The brakes work flawlessly, the car will stop on a sixpence, but i'm confused as to why the pedal went soggy.
However, here's the thing, It's only soggy with the engine running.
With then engine off, the pedal is rock solid.
Start the engine and whilst the pedal is initially rock solid and high up where you'd expect it to be, but keep your foot on the brakes and the pedal will slowly sink beyond half way.
She says it didn't do this before the pad change, but i don't drive it so wouldn't know.
In almost 35 years of fixing cars and changing brakes (of which i've probably done 50+), iv'e never experienced this.
So to say i'm a little confused is a bit of an understatement.
