Need clarity on alfa 156 please
Hi first time posting long time reader. Hoping for reply from here. I have just done my first variator repair and cambelt and tensioners. Everything seems ok purchased all cam locks dti and sprocket holding tool. My god had to take exhaust cam out as Well as couldn't undo barstad pulley bolt. Had to sandwich in vice with 2 blocks of wood and heat it up. Anyway followed tuts all back ok but tensioner sits over hole with everything lined up. But sometimes when I stop the engine seems compression kick chucks tensioner to full and I have lots of play on the front side exhaust to crank. If after turning engine over twice all tension is good and over the hole is that ok Or what the hell I tensioned loads now and I'm out of ideas the car seems to run fine and does not go slack every time mostly on kick back. I don't want to continue driving until happy it's safe. Please advise help really appreciated. Arrow sits over hole when running with little movement.
