GT Door not closing

I took delivery of my first beautiful Alfa GT yesterday.
Came home this evening to take her for a spin only to find the drivers door will not close and the window will not come come down. Tried WD40 on the catch to no avail.
Hopefully it is covered by the warranty, the dealer I bought it from is an hour and a half away so taking it to a local specialist tomorrow.
Thank the lord for bungee straps.

Maybe it is just me, I had VW Passat Estate (used), a few weeks after I bought it the drivers door failed to close. The catch would not engage leaving the door flapping in the wind. I booked it in to a VW garage but before it went in the door corrected itself, it worked fine for years, then about a year ago it went wrong again, yet again after a few days it corrected itself. I changed the VW for a Mazda 6 at the end of last year. One morning before setting off for work the drivers door failed to close. Oh no not again I thought, but again it corrected itself. Now I have bought an Alfa GT. Guess what, the drivers door will not close.
I think I may have to buy a push bike.

You are remembering to move your legs out of the way before you close the door aren't you?

Not a problem I've witnessed on any car.. except... One time when adjusting the catch I had inadvertently closed the latch so the door just bangs on the stay. Of course just releasing it with the handle fixed that.

Hi and Welcome to AO, enjoy the ride
Will the window power down and up again with the ignition switched on?

With the door open, power the glass down a little, close the door and then power the glass up until fully closed.

It may only need a reset!

Hope you get it sorted
