A brake disc question for a 156 TS owner

Could anybody out there with a parts catalogue give me the alfa part number for the discs and pads of a 156 2.0l twin spark 1999.

I bought the electronic workshop cd, but it does not contain part numbers unfortunately.

The reason i am after it is to buy discs and pads cheap on line, mintex or what ever, just want to make sure i buy the correct ones.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks guys

If you click on www.dorsetautospares and follow the links to braking parts for your car, it will show diagrams of the parts and the part numbers for the parts they suppy. I did this for my 156 and the prices were good. Hope this helps.

Re: A brake disc question for a 156 TS owner

eper doesn't really help ... lists two discs 60653478 and 71739567 for the TS but doesn't show pads?!? (Is this just me or my version of eper??)

Front discs are 284mm diam vented. I think the same disc is used on all 2.0 cars (TS and JTS) and 2.5 (some later 1.8s had vented but earlier models used solid discs so pads are also different). Pads can be different depending on the connector for the low pad indicator and the calipers used.

Mintex catalogue shows:

MDC385 for discs (sold individually)
MDB1735 for pads (sold in sets of four)

Shop4Parts have an offer on pads and discs at the moment!!! £17.50 for pads and £24 each for discs (plus del and VAT)

cheers, Gary

I got my discs from buypartsby, they were 13 each plus VAT. They are Quinton Hazel, so far they seem pretty good, though they are a bit noisier than the older ones, but I think its due to the machining marks still being on the disc.
