Very hot coolant after a short trip
Hi, I have only just got my v6 156 and I havent driven properly yet as i am waiting for the timing belt to be done. However, I drove it from our farm to my house which is a distance of less than 2 miles. I noticed that the coolant was very hot when I opened the bonnet. Steam came out when I took the lid off the coolant fluid and there appeared to be bubbles forming. Now I had been running the car for 10 mins before I drove it but it shouldnt get that hot that quickly, should it? Although the temperature gauge didnt appear to be rising abnormally when I test drove it.
Any ideas what would be causing that? When I'm getting the t. belt done id like to get anything else major sorted then as well.
