Ive recently bought a 147 1.6 Turismo on an 05 plate. Its got the 15 inch alloy wheels with 195/60's on it. The dealer must have thought fit some new tyres on it, but the trouble is ive never heard of corsa tyres? What tyres does a new 147 have fitted? Are they pirellis? Best tyre on my old car were goodyear NCT 5. Im thinking of having the goodyears fitted all round but would welcome any advice before shelling out 200-250 quid!!

Re: Tyres

Bought my used 147 (2.0 with aftermarket 18 inch alloys fitted - wouldn't have bought them myself!) and it came with four Nexen tyres. Not a make I had heard of before but upon speaking with a friendly tyre-fitter I was told they are a decent 'budget' brand (each tyre should be about 65 fitted, think they are 225/45/R18 although I may be mistaken). IMHO the Nexens are better than the considerably more expensive Goodyear Eagle F1's (GD03) that I had on my last car, and they also look just as good. So Nexen get the thumbs up from me! I'm sure they must do a range of tyres to suit your own size/needs?

Re: Tyres

Try blackcircles.com A fully fitted set of NCT 5 are £58 a corner,

A set of Pirelli P6000s which are very good tyres are £72.50 a corner

Or as a budget choice, Toyo CF1s which are a good tyre in the higher speed ratings are £56 a corner.

If it was my money i'd go for the Toyos, good grip and wear. I have Toyo Proxes T1-R which are proving to be a very good tyre!!
