Idea Need Radio Code after Disconnecting Battery?

I wanted to put the leather seats currently in my 1.6 147 (for sale) into my 2.0 147 I recently bought. I've read through relevant threads and discovered I had to disconnect battery for around 30 mins prior to disconnecting cables under seats.

Question is do I need to enter the radio code after disconnecting battery for such a lenghty period of time or not? This is because I don't have the code for the 2.0 but I really want to keep my leather seats.

Re: Need Radio Code after Disconnecting Battery?

From reading the handbook of my 147 2.0 lusso the standard radio will share its code with the car, so you only need to re-enter it if you put the radio in another car (or put another 147 radio in yours).

That's what it says anyway!

Thumbs Up Re: Need Radio Code after Disconnecting Battery?

Hi no your147 radio is in the memory and should come back on after you reconnect the battery, the reason you have to dissconect the battery is for your airbag system, you can just switch off the ignition and leave the key out for about 15-20 minutes and safely dissconect the seat connections for the airbags without dissconecting the battery just remember do not switch on the ignition with these dissconected as it will put your airbag light on and then you will have to have the error/faults deleted by an examiner. Hope this helps!
