clutch master cylinder
Hi lovely people, a bit of input from the collective knowledge well would be grand.
My mrs left-hand-drive 147 1.9jtd (facelift) has a classic master clutch cylinder failure. No resistance on it whatsoever until the last cm or so(half inch), almost impossible to engage gears as a result.
On the plus side: I have the part already.
Reading the ePer procedure to replace it, they instruct to remove the entire brake and abs control unit, unit bracket, brake master and then the clutch master cylinder.
Obviously that makes the access to the clutch cylinder a doddle, but surely it must be able to be done without touching those?
Can I reach the clutch master cylinder through the wheel arch maybe?
Spanish forum posts suggest it's an easy job, which it should be once you get to the part, but nobody has gone to the trouble going step by step.
I appreciate most on here are used to dealing with right hand drive vehicles and they differ most definitely here, but then again, we're a pretty international bunch.
Any advice very much appreciated before I dive into this after work tonight.
