156 SW running without rear ARB fitted?
...Anyone tried running without the rear ARB? bearing in mind I have Eibachs front and rear now and Bilstein B16 suspension.
I'm aware the bar is to stop body roll and to keep the tyres flat on the road... just wondering if anyone has tried this already, was it a softer ride, does it twist the chassis (what with the front ARB still being in place).
The rear bar is on its stiffer setting at the moment, I had this changed from the softer setting at the same time as getting the suspension upgraded so I don't know what the difference is between the 2 settings (Doh!) I like the way the car handles - oversteer is great, just wondering if I can retain that factor but get some comfort back.
Just experimenting really, any thoughts would be appreciated.
..P.S. the exhaust is knocking on the rear ARB too - over the worst bumps, this is worst when the car is cold?! Fitting powerflex exhaust bushes at the back box has greatly improved this problem, so I went and got a second pair of bushes for the mid section (not fitted them yet) to see if that cures the knocking.
