That 'book price' is for a bog standard GT on 16's with no options. Just been offered more than that as trade in on mine - and he showed me the book price against a car that was only just over £20k new.
I would like a V6 but I'm not prepared to give my car a way for nothing it was nearly £24k new.
Have it checked for accident damage. I've only ever bought one ex-demo - the good thing was it had been shaken down - there were no rattles or silly faults after 2 years of ownership although the clutch did fall to pieces well befor it's due date.
