Wiper arm for flat type wipers?
I was admiring a GT the other day and realised that it now employs the newer (and I personally think better) flat type wipers... ie, only the arms are steel, but the whole wiper itself is a flat piece of rubber, attached at the center to a bracket to connect it to the steel arm.
Now, how difficult is it to change my 2003 147s wipers to that configuration? Is it a matter of merely changing the arms? Or is it impossible to do?
I've sat in a friend's new bmw 3-series and found that these flat wipers were much more effective in heavy rain. Also heard that they last longer since the wiper has a larger contact surface, versus the oldish technology where the wiper surface was like a thin blade against the windscreen.
