Starter motor

Hello all I think the starter motor on my car has gone can anyone tell me if a starter motor from the old shape 147 will fit in the new shape? Mines a 2008 many thanks if anyone can help

Body shape shouldn't affect the mechanical yes, starter of an older, similar model should be OK - don't think there would be any wiring changes. Got plenty of starters if you get stuck - just say which engine

Unless the bushes are shot? Why not try dismantling, cleaning and regreasing the motor, it will be good as new if you do. And it will only take an hour to do.

Changed it and my car is now even worse won't turn over and it flashes on the dash saying imobilizer failure, won't even bump start now. So it's taking a trip to my local Alfa garage
