Coolant level 147

I've noticed that the coolant reservoir on my 147 shows just above the 'min' mark for level of contents when the engine is cold, however when it's warm, the level seems to remain just under the 'max' indicator.
Not sure which to accept? Reading in the handbook something about a 'Paraflu' additive - I assume the dealer is the likely vendor, if indeed it does need topping up...

Re: Coolant level 147

That's about right I would think mate.: When I changed and flushed ours last year, put a felt tipmark for easy viewing, when cold. Never varies, other than when hot, and then rises above that mark, no prob.:

I always top up to the max mark when cold. Do this and I think you will find it stays fairly constant hot or cold(unless you have a problem obviously).

Re: Coolant level 147

I had the same question so I asked the dealer. The dealer said that when the factory ships the cars, the coolant is just below minimum - this means at working condition with the water pressure then level will get between a bit above minimum. They said it will do no harm to add a bit of water if you want.
