Clutch master removal & refit 3.2 GT

I need to replace my clutch master cylinder when the new one arrives via Ebay from Mick's Garage. Unfortunately my local supplier has had a run on them and is out of stock. Is it as straight forward a job as it looks, or is there anything I need to know about the procedure? The slave and clutch are new with only 20,000 km on them and the rubber hose is not leaking, so that leaves the master, which I have been a bit suspicious of for a while now. It won't go into gear at all when cold and the pedal does nothing for the first bit. I am having withdrawal symptoms not being able to drive the car, but I will just have to be patient.

Current Alfas:
2004 GT 3.2 V6, Grigio Stromboli
2008 159 ti 2.4 JTDM Sportwagon, Grigio Stromboli
1989 75 3 litre V6, black
1988 75 3 litre, red, (son's car now)
2000 156 TS 2 litre, Cosmos Blue, (daughter's car)
