156 rear door removal

Has anyone tried removing the rear door from a 156? My near side one is slightly out of line with the front door, so I wanted to remove one of the shims behind the bottom hinge. I couldn't turn the allen screw with a normal key, so tried a ½" socket allen key on a breaker bar. It won't turn. The allen screw head began to distort with the torque from the key, but it just won't budge. Any ideas anyone? Is there a trick to loosening them, like thumping first with a hammer, or will that just buckle the B post?
