147 Lamba sensor problems
I didn't want to hijack anyone else thread so please don't slate me for posting yet another lamba problem post.
I have a 147 1.6ts. I have the engine management light come on and did a diagnostic read on it. It said I had a p0130 fault with the Bank 1 Sensor 1. So what I decided to do was change both the pre cat sensors, some may say this was an unnecessary expense but I though it sensible to do so (and its my money!).
I then cleared the fault code. after a couple of journeys when the car warmed up the light cam back on, so I read the fault code again and it was the same code. My first reaction was that the sensor was faulty. I then swapped the two pre cat sensors over for each other, thinking that if the sensor was faulty then the code should follow the sensor.....it didn't!
When the light cam on and I reread the code again it was the same bank 1 sensor 1.
I then cleared the code and did an ECU reset (with the procedure as detailed on here) ... the light came back on and had the same code.
I'm sort of thinking now the fault maybe the sensor plug on the engine part of the wiring but before I take off both plugs and solder the joints/wires does anyone have any suggestions as to what else to check.
Thanks in advance for your understanding and help.
