JTS Troubles, just want to confirm :)
Hello fellow Alfa Enthusiasts!
First time poster, but have been reading, and following advice on the forum avidly for a while now.
I am at my first Alfa, but as with many of you have fallen in love, it is hard to imagine driving anything else! On to business.
So I have an 05 156 2.0 JTS Selespeed with 165kkm and is misfiring, it misfires only when cold or under load, this causes me much pain. Load is in every gear at about 3000rpm+ give or take with lots of throttle. If only 60% throttle is used, it'll climb all the way to the red without missing. I have Fiat ecu scan and AlfaDiag (or a version of), only codes are generic misfire and misfire cylinder 3. (P0300, P0303).
Following advice I've read, I've swapped coil packs between cylinders, multiple times, to no change. I've used electrical cleaner on all electrical connection I can think of/access. Replaced spark plugs and air filter, oil is replaced every 3-6 months or 5000km, disconnected MAF problem didn't change only idle got really bad. Cleaned O2's, battery is clean and the tidy.
I might be forgetting something i've done, as this has been on-going for a while. From what I have done, I believe I have narrowed it down to Injectors, I did run injector cleaner through just in case. Buy to no significant change, I have also had a look at the cams, and look as you'd expect with the km and are nice and even. I've managed to source injectors, and would be conducting the work myself with the assistance of the electronic Alfa CD.
I just want to confirm with the extensive knowledge of everyone here that I haven't missed something obvious that won't result in 1 or 2 days work, and possibly lots of cursing (or beer).
I appreciate the help
