156 Selespeed Sump Guard

Can anyone shed any light on why i seem to catch the factory plastic/abs sump cover on every single speed bump or ramp that the local councils insist on spending my council tax on......i have visually checked and it seems to be very low with loads of clearance between the underside of engine/sump etc and the actual guard ?? i have also just noticed that the rear fixings are the highly technical cable ties !! should it have some retaining bolts/fixings.....please help me to stop leaving plastic on every speed bump i come across !

The std plastic undertray does sit very low and will hit every speedbump unless you go VERY slow.

Changing to an alloy undertray, which gives more clearance, will help.

The UK distributors are Autodelta in London.

What David C says.: Although my original composite material one, seems ok with the correct fixings. I have used larger washers with the 4 bolt, (memory?) fixings. The other fixings have a decent diameter head if memory fades not.: Good Luck.
