Re: 2.5 V6 'v' 3.2 GTA
0-100mph for a GTA is around 14s, for a 156 2.5v6 its 18.6s.
Thats a big difference, bigger than it sounds. Especially since most of it occurs over 60mph once the nastyness of FWD launching has been left behind.
i.e. While the GTA goes 60-100mph in 8 seconds the 2.5v6 loses 3.5 seconds in those 8 seconds alone, and the difference gets bigger at higher speeds..
The 330mm brakes on the GTA are enormously better than the 2.5V6 which shares the same brakes as the twinny, and they weren't great on the twinny..
I haven't owned a 2.5 myslef, but owned a twinny 2.0 SP2 which was regarded as better handling than the 2.5v6, and the GTA is way way better handling than my old car.
I would bet that fuel consumption for the GTA is actually better too -
the 2.5v6 doesn't have a huge amount of usable torque..
Dont get me wrong , I'm sure the 2.5v6 is an absolute performance bargain these days and would shame many competitors, and sounds fantastic into the bargain.
You would need the sportkit option for the V6, the standard suspension would be too wallowey for any enthusiastic driving.
The interiors of the GTAs are special too, and you probably are aware of the exteriors yourslef.
I'm not a doctor - but I really do recommend braking later
