Moaning Koni FSD

Having had a set of Koni FSD shocks fitted to my 156 2.4JTD and driven a couple of thousand miles I have to report that I am disappointed with them as they are neither Comfortable or Sporty.

They are definitely more comfortable than the original shocks that came off the car (112k originals) but are set just a bit to hard for decent comfort and don't stiffen up quickly or enough for sporty driving.

The paperwork that came with the shocks states that they can be adjusted OFF the car and I have had them set to soft - I can't help but think that they need to be set harder for sport - but at the expense of more comfort.

Looks like I got suckered by the marketing blurb.

Stick to Koni Sports.

Will report back in a few thousands miles to see if anything has improved.

Re: Koni FSD

yeah, bugger, esp as KONI Sports are cheaper.

i suppose it's relative. you say the FSD's are more comfy than the worn originals, but not comfy enough. i don't know that the Sports would be more comfortable again, on top of the FSD's. possibly not, but the adjustability can be of use.

Re: Koni FSD

This is interesting, I was keen to get a set of these thinking they were the best of both worlds, rather than a compromise of ride & handling. Might just stick to Sports.
