Not Happy 1st alfa...1st problem

oh well it had to happen i believe this is a common problem,the wiper mechanism snapped on the drivers side.....how much am i looking at for parts only as my local dealers parts dept is not open till monday??also has anyone actully spoke alfa customer services about this part breaking as it does sound very common? or is it just not worth the hassle.......

Very common problem on 147 and several small Fiats too which use the same type plastic linkage.

You may have to replace all the wiper arms too because the early type wiper assembly isn't available anymore.

Cost is quite high because you end up changing everything.

the problem is it drops off because the design means there is nothing holding the damn thing on once the nylon locking ring wears by a mm.

get some mole grips and spread the nylon ring by applying a lot of force on it. if you squash the nylon and then force the linkage back on it will usually last 6months+.
