any vibrations that would travel through the driveshaft. either from the road/suspension or from the engine/gearbox. when these vibrations are about the same as the resonant frequency of the axle, you could feel them in the cabin. the rubber dampened weight absorbs the resonance before it becomes a problem though.

Update, finally got it sorted, it was actually the wheel bearing, or more specifically the wrong one supplied, it was in the right box, but was the wrong wheel bearing, too big, so once you got up to speed it just wobbled like crazy
