I have to say I'm really happy with my car at the moment, something I couldn't say before!
Now it rides with a more "premium" feel, is much quieter over bumps, potholes and general imperfections on the road. It allows fewer vibrations than before to come in and overall it feels like a much newer and "tighter" car!
Of course much of this is because I simply changed the shocks with new ones, although my mechanic mentioned that the old shocks didn't seem to be too knackered for their age and mileage. To be fair, I have to mention that in the process of changing the shocks, both upper wishbones at the front and arb drop links at the rear had to be changed - ouch! That's another £200 I hadn't budgeted for.
Anyway, trying to describe how the B4 feel, I think it's become a liiiittle bit softer than before, but not by much. Remember, I kept the original springs. It seems a lot less choppy than before as well, but still hadn't had the chance to go for a proper drive. Steering also seemed a tad lighter than before, but that's maybe just placebo effect!
Next month I'm doing the Llandaw track day, so will form a definite opinion then.
