Hello fellow Alfa lovers,
got a bit of a weird one today, bought myself a 147 2.0 twinspark, looks great, used to drive great too, part from a front wheel bearing rumble.....
anyhow, while I was planning to replace both front wheel bearings (only the drivers side had gone) I got all the wheels refurbished, then when the car as in bits, thought why not replace the brake discs too, long story short I ended up replacing all the brake discs, new pads and hoses and refurbished the font callipers.
Now the car is back together, I have horrendous front wheel wobble, only happens 60+ mph, and gets worse the faster you drive pretty sure its not the brakes or the wheels, as these were balanced by the refurbisher, then again today by a local tyre specialist, the bearings are new, in fact the only part haven't replace is the hub flange,
has anyone had problems with these?
heard about driveshafts going, but do they just go like that? without even divig the car?
All I can think of is that I may have bashed one of the flanges too hard when trying to get it off the car and bent I, although they are pretty substantial
Any help/advice greatly appreciated
The nearest Alfa dealer is 40 miles away, so I can't really "just pop down and see them"
